Global cycles

Managers and leaders who are aware of global cycles have an advantage in business.
A major event in 2008 is that Pluto, the symbol of transformation and getting rid of 'the rot', changed sign from expansive Sagittarius, to the more compact Capricorn. Pluto has a long cycle so the time we are entering for the next 18 years will be a backdrop and will repeat themes from around 250 years ago. Already we see the effects of this in the downsizing of everything and the global financial crisis. This heralds the start of a period where power must be used responsibly. Pluto will want to clean out anything associated with problems in the following industries, to name a few. Accountancy, building, architecture, government - any industry where structure is relevant. Country borders may also have issues concerning power. In my view hierarchy will be back in companies and qualifications will be important. This is a very result-oriented phase, where ambition and hard work will be rewarded if done in a responsible manner.
2010
In 2010 we saw the effects of this - the Catholic church are being brought to task concerning sexual abuse by priests. Pluto's domain is underground, so mines and toxic waste have been in the news. Companies are being asked to take responsibility for problems - BP, mines in Chile New Zealand and China and the aluminium plant in Hungary come to mind.
If you are in a position of power you must be conscious and use your power wisely or you will be brought to account.
